Michael Weiss D.V.M.
Dr. Michael Weiss is a 1988 graduate of the University of Missouri’s College of Veterinary Medicine. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Rutgers University and studied Animal Nutrition at the Pennsylvania State University. He also attended the University of Pennsylvania and University of Nebraska. Dr. Weiss has extensive experience in emergency medicine & surgery, soft tissue & orthopedic surgery, ultrasound and endoscopy. His experience extends beyond dogs and cats to all exotic pets.
Dr. Weiss has over 25 years’ experience in the area of exotic pet medicine and surgery. He collaborates with many of the top exotic pet practitioners and multiple University exotic animal clinicians on a regular basis. Dr. Weiss has also mentored many veterinarians in the practice of exotic animal medicine and surgery. Additionally, he has been an exotic pet medicine & surgery lecturer at several major veterinary continuing education conferences both nationally and internationally. He also served in the Special Species Emergency Service of the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary Hospital.
Dr. Weiss has been featured in People Magazine and Woman’s Day and was selected as one of the Delaware Valley’s “23 Great Vets” by Philadelphia Magazine. He has also been featured on Animal Planet, Extra and American Journal TV shows, as well as Good Day Philadelphia with respect to his exotic animal veterinary cases.
His memberships include the American Veterinary Medical Association, Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association, Association of Avian Veterinarians, Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians and Association of Reptilian & Amphibian Veterinarians.
Dr. Weiss is currently a resident of Mullica Hill, New Jersey and has two daughters. Lauren, who studied veterinary medicine at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine and Morgan who is a graduate of Salisbury University where she studied Community Health.
Dr. Weiss’ interests include triathlon training and racing, vegan lifestyle, boating, off-shore fishing, coaching lacrosse, open water scuba diving, and travel.
Lauren Robinson-Weiss DVM
Lauren graduated from Kingsway Regional High School in Swedesboro, New Jersey, in 2010. She was a member of the school’s varsity lacrosse team. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Small Animal Science from Delaware Valley College in 2014. Lauren attended Ross University College of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical rotations at the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. She completed an exotic animal internship at SEAVS, one of the top exotic private veterinary hospitals in the country. She has special interest in Exotic Animal Medicine & Surgery and general surgery. Lauren resides in Williamstown, NJ, with her dogs Gracie, Kay, Smoky and cat Boozie, several ducks and reptiles.
Candice Bittner BVetMed, MRCVS
Dr. Bittner is a 2018 graduate of the Royal Veterinary College in London, England. Prior to veterinary school, she attended the Pennsylvania State University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Poultry and Avian Sciences. Her clinical interests include internal medicine, cardiology, and behavior. Candice resides in Philadelphia with her golden retriever Rua and plans on adding a cat in the near future.
Sierra Adams D.V.M
Sierra is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to veterinary school, she received a Bachelor’s of Science in Zoology from Kent State University. Sierra has always had a love for animals. In fact, her very first words were “kitty cat”. Sierra’s clinical interests include exotic medicine & surgery, behavior medicine, neurology, and ophthalmology. She is a Fear Free Elite certified professional as well as a certified Cat Friendly Veterinarian. She resides in Philadelphia with her two mice, Biscuit and Gravy and plans on welcoming her home to many more pets along the way.”
Julie Geisler D.V.M.
Julie is a 2014 graduate of the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her undergraduate studies at Saint Mary’s College in South Bend, IN. Her prior veterinary experience was in Illinois as the Medical Director of a veterinary hospital before moving to Philadelphia. She is Fear-Free Certified, Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist and certified by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association. She has a strong interest in alternative veterinary medicine, veterinary dentistry as well as internal medicine. She lives in Northern Liberties with her husband and two children.
