Dr. Sierra Adams

Sierra is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to veterinary school, she received a Bachelor’s of Science in Zoology from Kent State University. Sierra has always had a love for animals. In fact, her very first words were “kitty cat”. Sierra’s clinical interests include exotic medicine & surgery, behavior medicine, neurology, and ophthalmology. She is a Fear Free Elite certified professional as well as a certified Cat Friendly Veterinarian. She resides in Philadelphia with her two mice, Biscuit and Gravy and plans on welcoming her home to many more pets along the way.”

Dr. Julie Geisler

Julie is a 2014 graduate of the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her undergraduate studies at Saint Mary’s College in South Bend, IN. Her prior veterinary experience was in Illinois as the Medical Director of a veterinary hospital before moving to Philadelphia. She is Fear-Free Certified, Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist and certified by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association. She has a strong interest in alternative veterinary medicine, veterinary dentistry as well as internal medicine. She lives in Northern Liberties with her husband and two children.

Dr. Victoria Bender

Dr. Victoria Bender is a 2016 graduate of University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine and earned her BS in Biology from Duke University. She was born in New York and raised in Florida, where she still has family. While in veterinary school, she spent time learning at various zoological institutions, externed at Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom and conducted research on the immune systems of elephants and manatees. Diploma in hand, she returned to North Carolina to complete an internship in avian and exotic animal medicine. Since then, she has worked with a caseload made up exclusively of exotic mammals, birds, reptiles, fish, and wildlife. 

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Bender enjoys speaking with local groups and classes about various topics in veterinary medicine. She is passionate about avian and exotic pets and loves to educate others about them. Dr. Bender is currently President of the Association of Exotic Mammals Veterinarians (AEMV), after serving on the board for four years. She plans to pursue board certification in exotic companion mammals. 
Dr. Bender also works as a professional actor, improviser and costume designer. She hosts weekly trivia nights and enjoys both domestic and international travel. She is excited to experience and participate in the art and theater scene around Philadelphia!
