Reptile Preventative Care & Wellness
Reptiles do not always make it easy to identify signs of illness at home, making routine check-ups essential for their well-being. Additional testing may be recommended based on your pet’s age and any concerns that might be identified during the physical examination. These can include a complete blood count, a biochemistry panel, fecal analysis, radiographs or more. Always bring a fecal sample to the exam, if possible, in case it is needed!
Reptiles can make it difficult to identify signs of illness, which means that your pet may have been sick for longer than the signs have been obvious.
We provide general services for our exotic patients and offer detailed care plans designed to match the specific requirements of each species.
For reptile companions specifically, our exotic clinic offers expert care tailored to their unique needs, including:
- Ovariectomy
- Salpingectomy
- Egg Binding
- Airway Evaluation
- Husbandry & Nutritional Counseling
- ...And More!
If you suspect something is not quite right with your pet, contact us right away, and our knowledgeable and friendly exotic veterinary team will be happy to help decide whether a veterinary visit is best.
